Sean Howells

Partner

Sean has worked in business services roles since leaving high school in 2001. Sean gained extensive experience in senior management roles in public practice accounting before commencing practice in 2010 with the purchase of ELG Accounting & Taxation in Silverdale. Under Sean’s direction the practice has grown to two offices servicing over 1,400 clients across Australia.

Sean prides himself on being a self-described “tax nerd” and draws on his extensive knowledge and experience to provide clients with valuable input into the management of their business and tax affairs.

Sean heads up the SMSF audit and financial planning divisions of the practice holding qualifications as both a SMSF registered auditor and an authorised financial planner.

James Beckett

Partner

James commenced working in public practice accounting in 2008 and has since worked in several business services roles. James joined the practice in 2013 and was appointed as a partner in 2017.

During his time in practice James has gathered vast experience in numerous areas of tax law and has successfully acted for clients on several occasions in disputes with the ATO.

James has written several articles on tax topics and has been published in The Tax Specialist journal. He is currently studying toward a law degree and hopes to achieve this qualification in the near future.

James heads up the technical tax division of the practice and holds a Masters degree in taxation law.
